Jaguars, unicorns and “The Raven.” Trivia nights, Tough Mudder-ing and “The Office.” Fine art and indie filmmaking. Floating down a lazy river. Psychology, creativity and data analytics. Being No. 1.
This is just a small, random sampling of the diverse interests and passions of our newest colleagues here at Vital. Now for some introductions.
Greer’s future career as a writer began in a third-grade classroom in Vermont when she won a statewide writing contest with her essay “My Substitute Teacher.”
She went on to graduate from Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont, with a degree in Media Studies and a minor in Marketing.
A collegiate softball player at Saint Michael’s, Greer now puts her diamond experience to work in the marketing field, stepping up to the plate as a copywriter and content strategist, calmly handling any curveballs that come her way and hitting home runs for clients.
Also a longtime hockey player, she is, of course, goal oriented. One of her favorite writing assignments included covering Special Olympics Team USA and skating with the athletes during their training at the famed “Miracle on Ice” rink in Lake Placid.
Before joining Team Vital, she worked primarily in higher education communications, gaining marketing experience that runs the gamut from spearheading a #hashtag campaign aimed at boosting college enrollment to garnering media placement in national outlets for content focused on the opioid epidemic.
She worked most recently at Boston University, writing communications and social media content for their dental school. Now she’s stoked to sink her teeth into new challenges — inspired by the variety of clients she gets to work with and the spirit of “contagious creativity” here at Vital HQ.
Her passion for sports translates well to the competitive aspect of getting results for our clients. “I’ve been an athlete my whole life, so I have a natural competitive drive,” she said. “I want to be No. 1 at a backyard game of spikeball, so I definitely want to be No. 1 in my career.”
The title of senior designer does not even begin to tell the story of this talented graphic designer, who is also a full-stack web dev wizard and an award-winning fine artist (and Jacksonville Jaguar fan and semi-professional unicorn).
It might be easier to let him explain: “I went to school for graphic design with concentration in typography but somewhere along the way I thought, ‘design would be much more interesting if you could fully interact with it.’ So, I snagged up as many programming classes as I could. Fresh out of school (UMass-Dartmouth) with a BA in Graphic Design/Typography, I got a job as an Oracle DBA.”
After gaining a ton of web development and related experience, “I knew I needed to fulfill the artistic side of my brain. So, I scooped up a job as a software developer.” He must have needed additional creative stimuli as well, because somewhere along the line he also took up abstract acrylic painting.

Now that he’s at Vital, the plan is to keep him focused primarily on design. Quoth the raven painter: “I want people to engage with my design and have an experience. That’s what motivates me every day. Does this just look good or can I push it further to make it more of an experience?”
Katie Rosenholm – Digital Marketing Coordinator
Let’s just say UNH Wildcats are not an endangered species here at Vital. In fact, we’ve got quite an impressive pack of sleek, graceful, whipsmart UNH grads prowling the premises.
Katie ’Cat graduated from UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics with a B.S. in Business Administration and a duel concentration in Marketing Information Systems/Business Analytics. Part of the reason she was able to claw her way to a coveted spot on the world-class Vital team right out of college was that she groomed herself for the opportunity by gaining valuable experience in several digital marketing internships — first at an agency that specialized in tech startups and then at a specialty paper company. (Hey, sorry about these cat puns people: I promise to stop meow.)
Another factor was due to an increasingly vital connection between Vital and UNH. One of her favorite courses was a Digital Marketing class that she said was “by far the most relevant to my (internship) experiences and the responsibilities of a digital marketer in today’s market. … The adjunct professor for the class worked at Vital, which was an agency I had recently learned about and had grown to admire for their success and exceptional culture. Throughout the course I learned more and more about Vital, which furthered my desire to join the team. Outside the office, Katie loves traveling, strength training in the gym, hiking and boating (“floating down a river”). She’s survived a Tough Mudder event and has even been known to take spontaneous trips across the country.
