Project Overview
Captivate Bio supports the ever-changing biotech community with products and services that enable successful scientific research. As such, they needed a website that would provide frictionless eCommerce functionality and the ability to make changes in light of new products and research.

Strong Brand, Weak Back End
Before Vital came along, Captivate Bio was using Magento to support their eCommerce business, which they found to be difficult to manage from the back end, especially when it came to non-eCommerce content. Although the platform worked well enough for their eCommerce business, it inhibited the client from making site-wide content updates, including cross promoting products with thought leadership content. Since a rebrand was not necessary, we knew that any new content we created or modules we added would need to integrate seamlessly with existing site content while upholding Captivate Bio’s trusted brand identity. Our goal was to develop a solution that would provide them the flexibility to effortlessly generate new marketing pages and modify existing ones without navigating a clunky content management system (CMS).

The Big Reveal
Leveraging the Captivate Bio’s existing brand and site design, we built a hybrid WordPress/Magento site, restructuring their product pages into Magento 2 and seamlessly integrating them with new and existing content created in WordPress.
Flexibility For the Win
As a hands-on client, Captivate Bio’s team appreciates the flexibility of the WordPress-Magento integration when it comes to updating content, particularly the user-friendly features of WordPress. Now site visitors can access thought leadership content, shop products, and get to know the Captivate Bio brand, all in one seamless experience.
