Project Overview
Vital Design partnered with Maine Lobster Outlet to enhance their website by removing the cumbersome WooCommerce functionality and transitioning to a platform with a more manageable back end. Our goal was to replicate their existing site using the WordPress block editor to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for both the client and their customers.

Navigating New Waters
First up, we conducted a thorough assessment of the client’s existing site to understand its structure and functionality. Our development team then recreated the site using the WordPress block editor, ensuring that all design elements remained consistent with the original.
Once the site was duplicated in WordPress, we carefully removed WooCommerce, simplifying the back end while preserving essential features. Finally, we performed rigorous testing to ensure the new site functioned smoothly before going live.
Smooth Seas
Fortunately, this project did not present significant challenges. The transition was smooth due to the straightforward nature of the tasks involved.
Reeling It In
We successfully completed this project in just over a month, and thus managed to stay on the lower end of the client’s budget. The result is a seamless replica of the client’s old site, now in the much easier-to-manage WordPress block editor.
