PLT Health Solutions is a B2B organization that discovers, develops, and markets high-quality ingredient solutions. They work with various vendors and manufacturers across natural products, food and beverage, and cosmetic industries. PLT approached Vital because their old website was outdated, lacking a clear brand image or the functionality to display their resources and products. Vital designed and developed a new website with a clean, user-friendly product catalog to provide an enhanced eCommerce browsing experience. Since many of PLT’s marketing efforts were focused on eBlasts and tradeshows, the new website couldn’t have come at a better time. With the shift from in-person interactions to virtual in 2020, they’ve had to put tradeshows on hold; the new website replaces those marketing efforts and better displays their products.
This 70-year-old, family-run company takes a much more holistic approach than their competitors. They’re backed by strong science to ensure that their products are safe, meet requirements, and instill trust. In fact, PLT360™ is a business-wide pledge by PLT Health Solutions promising to develop ingredients that PLT clients can confidently supply to their own customers. The old website didn’t highlight PLT’s unique history and commitment. In order to elevate these strengths, we updated their brand messaging and used our in-house video team to create beautiful videos to showcase who they are and what they do; we went the extra mile to capture footage in South Africa and India where they work on the ground to source the plants that go into each ingredient. Sharing a glimpse of the story behind the company helps create brand integrity and underpin their PLT360™ pledge.
Since they focus on vouching for the integrity of each ingredient solution, PLT Health Solutions needed to properly convey their position as leaders in the science industry. They had plenty of assets, including case studies, clinical trials, and webinars. Unfortunately, the old website wasn’t equipped to house these resources. We built out a detailed resource center with gated content to help them capture leads. This helped them more effectively leverage their content and thought leadership.
Although the entire website helped PLT better tell their story, their new product catalog revamped the user experience. The old website had a lot of information that we made into a digestible user path, in part by adding extensive filtering capabilities. The clean, simple iconography makes browsing straightforward and enables users to sort by category, applications, and ingredient solutions. Then, they can filter their results even further or jump straight into the product overview. We created a template for PLT’s products so that the website remains flexible and they have the ability to expand and add future products as their business grows. Oh, and by the way, Vital and PLT were both excited to learn that PLThealth.com was recently named Best B2B Website in the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAwards competition.
